Vlog: Overcoming Differences

Annnndddd, we're back! Thank you, dear Blogger, for that radio silence.

I'm back in action with last week's vlog topic: how Topher and I overcome differences!  And as per Cole's suggestion, Topher makes a surprise appearance!  He was ever so excited for me to interrupt his Halo playing with his bestie Dadu, can you believe it? He shouted for joy, bellowing "how merrily you include me in your blogging adventures!" and then he promptly set me up a happy little seat next to him and rubbed his hands together in preparation.

At least, that's what I remember. I guess we'll have watch the video evidence to corroborate my story.

Also, I am going naked face in this hear vlog, and I think it juxtaposes quite nicely (sadly?) with two weeks' ago's vlog, wherein I am still night-out pretty.

And feast your eyes on this little prize:

Topher and I in the college years, mid-fight!  He was distraught that I had begun drinking wine sans-him on a night of a fraternity dance.  Oh, but hell fire was he mad! (Though he'd likely deny it today.)  And then a friend asked to take a picture and oh but my, how he did respond!

Ok, let's watch:

So, apparently, women see it as communicating, men, as "talking a lot."  Glad we straightened that out.

Join us next week!

  • What was your favorite childhood toy?

Topher answered above: will you do so next week with me?

Happy Monday, all!

  1. I love that Chris vlogged with you! I missed the topic this week but Kevin and I always seem to put everything on the table, we don't hold back. Not in a bad way but we talk about our disagreement until it's solved, right then, in the moment.

I'll have to think about next weeks topic, hmm. And I don't know if you saw my tweet, but we really need another DC meet up before you guys head to Cambodia! ;)

  2. How sweet he vlogged with you!
Paul and I tend to throw stupid insults at one another until the other laughs which then breaks the tension.
Alternatively, my selective memory switches on, and after 10 minutes being out of the room I've forgotten we're fighting anyway.

  3. Scot sees it the same way! Just, you know.. talking. Not problem solving or communicating or any of those good, fun words. Ah, men ;)

PS. Love that you both gave big cheesy smiles at the end. Too cute.
PPS. I agree with Jessica that we need to all do another DC area meet up!!

  4. I LOVE that you both made the exact same eyebrows-raised-extra-cheesy-grin face at the end of the video :D I'm also very impressed that Chris actually took it in stride, paused Halo and answered your question. Dave would have been like "uhh... can't you see I'm busy winning this soccer game?"! One of our biggest issues is probably how we argue - Dave likes to talk things through immediately, and I need hours to calm down before I even want to talk about it! We try to compromise but it often leaves one or the other person a little stressed :)

  5. Ok, so maybe you already mentioned this in another post and this is way off the topic, but are you doing the Warrior Dash this weekend?!! You mentioned your training and I was just curious. Its a great time.

  8. I LOVE that you guys vlogged together! I think that I like to talk things out...and Joel likes to get to the point, find a solution, and get past it. I tend to dwell. And then I want to talk about it SOME MORE, just for good measure. :)
