the bare minimum

I have some posts of substance simmering in my drafts folder, but because I'm so tired after coming home from a day of teaching, speaking Khmer and generally sweating a lot, you're getting posts like this.

So enjoy my incredibly deep thoughts about make up.

******

A long while ago, I posted about going makeup less in photos on this blog, and in general.

Since then, and since moving to Cambodia, I've completely forgotten how foreign it must be for some to consider going sans-makeup, out in public or even on a blog.

So here's the deep thought:

Daily, I go outside, take pictures of myself, and generally exist without a smidge of make up.

I'd even hazard a guess that make up less photos are giving those eyeliner-ones a run for their money on this here blog.

And, proof, of course:

learning how to let bangs dry in a tropical climate. tonight.

macaroni and cheese, and beer.

after biking nearly 100 kilometers.

how we look, nearly every single evening after sunset.

enjoying jelly belly jelly beans that gave us a stomachache because we ate about fifty each.

my birthday, with my flowers from chris and my alaska stand cup full of ice cold coca cola.  i used that cup to honor ocean city as hurricane sandy was sweeping through my home land.
 You feel me?
