We Vlog Friday. Do you?
What is the bestest advice you've ever received?
Things I heart:
ReplyDeleteYou
& that you played that song.
I freaking loved that song in 1999.
And I also love your advice, it's very true.
And I also feel like I should redo my vlog cause your's is more interesting :)
Haha! I graduated from high school in 1999, so I LOVED that song! Ha! Such a great vlog! Sorry I didn't play this week, I was struggling with what the single piece of good advice was. I should have thought outside the box like you. :)
ReplyDeleteLove that song- and totally forgot about it. Thanks for the awesome reminder.
ReplyDeleteI think the best advice I ever received was 'life is a choice'. I guess it's more of a statement than advice but it's so succinct and true. Everything we do in our life, how we handle ourselves in situations is a choice.
Haha! Love the monkey bars.
ReplyDeleteAnd I can't believe you played that song.. that was such a blast from the past, love it. And love your faces and head bopping ;)
Burning your hands on the cookies is the WORST! Because then you don't enjoy them! Agh.
ReplyDeleteLoved that song! I think it's awesome that you played it, how perfect for this vlog topic!?
Woot!
ReplyDeleteAlso: I greatly enjoyed your ponderous headbopping.
I think we have the same wedding ring! I think I watched the part where you touched your eyebrows a zillion times and I think they are similar! Two tone, Simon G?
ReplyDeleteAnd I should have listened to that advice about eyebrows too.
Great advice Kate, great advice indeed! I haven't heard that song in for-ever! It really holds true today, on the opposite side of the fence. I totally thought you were going to play Prince's Party Like it's 1999. Don't ask me why.
ReplyDeleteI feel like that eyebrown thing is something that like 50% of girls go through!
ReplyDeleteThe best advice I received was from my Uncle. He told me to never do anything I would be ashamed to tell my mom. That I would do things I wasn't proud of, or things I knew I could handle differently, but if I was thinking of doing or saying something, think about what mom would say if I told her.
The second I heard "If I could offer you only one tip from the future, sunscreen would be it" I was literally transformed back to my bedroom in the May of 1999. Freshman year of high school, being sad that all my 'senior friends' were leaving. In truth, I thought the seniors were the Bees Knees and they probably thought I was some little freshman punk. Either way, I went back and read all the lyrics. Good reminders. And scary that that was 12 years ago!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI guess some of the best advice I've ever gotten (from my mother and multiple others) is "Let things go." I tend to over-think things and hold onto comments/insults etc., and worry my head off. I'm still working on Letting Things Go, but I'm getting better at it:-).
