Vlog Friday: My biggest lie!

Hello all!

Whew!  So, I'm the WORST vlogger in the world!  It's been the most hectic two weeks of work over here, and I didn't even get the chance to record my vlog last night (I'll explain why next week!)

BUT!

I did want to share my biggest lie.  Because, really, I tell this lie ALL THE TIME.  Well, not as often as I should. But a few times a month.

I lie to a machine on a regular basis.

The treadmill machine, to be exact.

You see, it always asks me, 'for accurate calorie measures,' how much I weigh.

AND I ALWAYS LIE.

I always enter my weight 5-10 pounds less than it is.  It's so petty and stupid and so 'stereotypical' woman that I am so ashamed.  But when you HATE the number you see on the scale and you remember just a few months ago when you committed to STOP EATING CRAP and never let the number get higher, you feel terrible because I AM STILL EATING CRAP and the number got HIGHER!

So. I lie. To an inanimate object.

Le sigh.

Next week's topic is fun too! Join us and tell us:

  • What did you imagine your future life to be like when you graduated high school and how is the reality different?

  1. I do too, mainly because I'm afraid of someone on the next machine seeing!

  2. TOO FUNNY. Sometimes I actually do the same thing but in the opposite direction - I "lie up" because it looks like you burn more calories that way! ;)

  3. BigAppleNosh beat me to it, I was going to say, you might want to lie in the other direction bc it'll show you burned more :P

  4. Haha, I tell that lie as well, but to myself. I'm so in denial. :P

  5. I totally tell this lie, too -- nto sure why, it's not like the exercise/diet police are looking over my shoulder as I enter my weight! :)

  6. I do the same thing, but not for the same reasons... I know machines overestimate the calories burned, so then I put my weight lower, so it's more accurate to the real thing.

  7. Oh my gosh I do the SAME thing. I didn't realize that bumping your weight up makes it look like you burn more calories.. maybe I've been telling the wrong lie, lol!
