it's quite astounding how, even as a grown-ass married woman living abroad, not seeing your parents and siblings and parents and siblings in law can have such an effect on you.

but it does.

things that make it better include:

-spending it at the beach.

-thin crust pizza and spaghetti carbonara.

-a warm shower.

-multiple skype dates for christmas with families.

-the receipt of TWO of the missing packages with the excitement of the THIRD to arrive with even MORE presents in coming weeks!

why yes, this is the face of two incredibly excited grown-ass married people as they receive boxes of cheer from america.
