Needed help & got it!

Edit: Thanks Serena and Kelly- you both are amazing :)

I've made some changes y'all- what do you think? There are still some things that I messed up and can't seem to fix (like my post title and date being the same color though I thought I'd changed it. Eh well :) )

It was my first time really getting some what gritty with css and I have only huge love for designers and all who deal in code. You amaze me.

  1. I think your blog looks great, but if you're looking for a change, Poodle and Flamingo are awesome! :)

  2. Hey Kate,

First question, did you reserve a wordpress.com site or a wordpress.org (self-hosted) ? if it's a wp.com site, you can't upload a template design. You have to go with the self-hosted version, which means you need hosting.

I did the switch from wp.com to .org 2 years ago. Even though I lost readership I am super happy I did because I have completely control of my blog/files and design.

If you want to go WP for inexpensive. (since I don't offer WP templates - yet) I would check out :

    www.betterinpink.com
    www.deliciousdesignstudio.com/
or Joy (but she isn't accepting new clients until Feb - i think)

  3. You guys both rock for responding on a Friday night :).

I reserved just a .com site, but I think I'll end up switching to wordpress.org self hosted soon.

It's actually relieving to know that if/when I do switch, it'll be worth it for the control and freedom.

I think I'll save up a bit for some weeks and end up reaching out to you Kelly :)

thank you again, both of you!

  4. I think it looks great. I moved from blogger to wordpress last year and did in fact lose readers :( THen I paid someone for a custom wordpress template for my business and well, didn't get what I paid for :( boooh!

Either way, I like your updates and I love your fonts :)
